As soon as the maximum fill level is reached, a visual and audible alert signals the operator or assistant to replace the amalgam container or contact their authorized recycling service. Only then must the container be replaced. This procedure prevents unnecessary additional expense, thus saving costs. The convenient lever mechanism also makes removal of the container easier. The high amalgam separation rate of more than 98% complies with all legal requirements. Separation systems are available for all sizes of clinics and are fitted downstream of the dental suction unit. This way there is absolutely no loss of suction power by the amalgam separator. CAS 1: the integrated solution
The CAS 1 Combi-Separator from Dürr Dental is a valuable supplement to a lot of treatment units. It features a separation rate of more than 99% (ISO 11143:2008) and is therefore a future-proof choice. It operates quietly and offers a powerful brushless DC drive that easily copes with hour-long treatments and large amounts of fluid. Two-stage separation effectively prevents blood foam from being carried along during aspiration, thus protecting the dry suction unit connected downstream to the chair. The two-stage system with cyclone separator and dynamic separation turbine attains a much higher separation performance than traditional methods and can hardly be heard during operation. CAS 1 separators are suitable for many treatment units and often are already installed by leading treatment unit manufacturers ex works.
CA 1 / CA 2 / CA 4: The flexible, modular solution
CA separators can be installed without interference into the suction path. The CA 1 with housing is perfectly suitable for retrofitting a dry dental unit with very little changes of the unit itself. The CA 2 separator is optimized for use with a VS 300, VS 600 or Tyscor VS 2 suction unit for two operators. The CA 4 separator is simply installed downstream of a VS 900 or VS 1200 suction system for 4 operators. All CA systems work according to the centrifugal principle with hydrodynamic self-cleaning and are switched on automatically as soon as waste water from the treatment unit is entering the separator. A visual display provides information on the current operating condition at all times.
