DÜRR DENTAL has invented dental spray mist suction systems not just once, but twice. Sixty years ago, our engineers developed a new approach that not only paved the way for dentists to sit down while treating their patients, but also allowed the patients to lie down during the procedure. Today, we are reducing energy consumption by up to 75 percent with our suction systems in order to increase sustainability and efficiency.
Beginnings in the 20th century: Challenges in everyday practice
Until the mid-1960s, patients sat down while dentists worked standing up. Treatments were physically demanding and often uncomfortable - for both sides.
1964: A revolutionary moment
DÜRR DENTAL fundamentally changed the treatment environment with the ‘Orosuc’ suction unit. It was finally possible to treat patients lying down - a milestone for comfort and precision. This invention not only brought relief, but also set completely new standards in dentistry.
2014: The Tyscor series - the future of extraction technology
DÜRR DENTAL once again set new standards in dentistry in 2014 with the Tyscor series.
