Thanks to the compatibility of the Supra and Perio prophylaxis nozzles, the practice can use both systems as required and depending on the situation. This enables maximum flexibility in everyday practice.

Powder jet application
The mobile MyLunos® powder jet handpiece is perfect for flexible use within the dental practice. The handpiece can be disassembled into its individual components for complete reprocessing either manually or automatically in a machine. With its perfect weight balance, the exceptionally ergonomic handpiece helps to prevent fatigue while working. Thanks to the practical interchangeable chamber, the inconvenience of needing to refill during a treatment has become a thing of the past – simply prepare enough filled powder containers in advance for the whole day.

MyLunos Duo® is a combined unit that allows users to switch between supragingival and subgingival powder jet treatments as required during a prophylaxis session. The two powder chambers mean that powder can be changed quickly as needed during the treatment, without needing to switch off the device or remove thepowder chambers. The water is heated to a pleasant temperature, and a steady continuous flow of air in the powder jet handpiece protects against blockage.

Two different nozzles are available, and each can be rotated through 360° to enable easy access even to hard-to-reach areas in the patient's mouth. The two nozzles can be swapped quickly and easily during the treatment, and both are also compatible with the MyLunos® and MyLunos Duo® systems.

For powder jet applications, Lunos® “Gentle Clean” is available as a low-abrasive prophy powder for supragingival applications, while “Perio Combi” is suitable for subgingival and supragingival applications. They consist mainly of disaccharide trehalose, which is highly water-soluble. The abrasive material trehalose is particularly gentle on the tooth surface, yet it still delivers effective cleaning.

Ultrasonic application
The second treatment method that is available with the MyLunos Duo® combined unit is ultrasound treatment. The slim and lightweight Scaler handpiece can be operated ergonomically and with little fatigue. The LED lighting ensures that the working area in the patient’s mouth is perfectly illuminated. MyLunos Duo® offers a great choice of different Scaler instruments to enable needs-appropriate use of the system in a wide range of treatment scenarios and patient cases. All instruments and attachments are suitable for full cleaning and disinfection.
