The patient is in good general health and doesn’t like her teeth covered in brown pigmentation. She has no reported systemic illnesses and not taking any medication. Before this treatment, the patient cleaned the calculus twice a year, but never did the treatment of powder jet teeth.
Initial Situation
Teeth are covered in plaque and calculus. Brown pigmentation is presented on vestibular and oral surfaces of the teeth. The gums are red, swollen and inflamed.
Treatment and result
The aim of the treatment is to completely remove dental plaque, calculus and pigmentation. First, powder jet treatment was performed, followed by scaling to remove calculus, and then polishing the teeth with a brush and paste.
Teeth are completely cleaned – calculus and pigmentation are removed and gums are left to heal. Detailed oral hygiene instructions are explained to the patient and demonstrated on a teeth model with a toothbrush.
